Investing in Daidream:

Jan’s decision to invest in Daidream is a testament to his forward-thinking approach and commitment to transformative ventures. We were fortunate to sit down with Jan and gain insights into his investment philosophy, his vision for the future, and what excites him most about our venture. We had some tea while enjoying the seaside view from his house close by Split and wanted to know more about:

Nevio: Jan, your entrepreneurial journey in Croatia is truly inspiring. What motivated you to take that leap and move to Croatia back in 2006?

Jan de Jong: Thank you for your kind words. When I first arrived in Croatia, I was immediately captivated by the country’s natural beauty, rich culture, and the warmth of its people. It felt like a place of immense potential and opportunities, and I knew I wanted to be a part of its growth story.

Nevio: Your ventures, from M+ Group to Webpower Adria and now CROP, reflect a diverse range of interests. Can you share the underlying philosophy that ties these ventures together?

Jan de Jong: Absolutely. Each venture I’ve undertaken stems from a desire to address specific needs and gaps in the Croatian market. Whether it’s in business process outsourcing, email marketing automation, or agricultural innovation, the common thread is a commitment to creating solutions that have a positive impact on the community and the economy.

Nevio: Your investment in Daidream as the first investor speaks volumes about your belief in our mission. What was it about Daidream and Tales of Mello that resonated with you?

Jan de Jong: Daidream’s vision to revolutionize children’s entertainment and education is both innovative and necessary. Tales of Mello, in particular, caught my attention for its potential to transform screen time into a valuable learning experience. The platform’s emphasis on personalization and interactivity is precisely what sets it apart in the industry.

Nevio: Lovely to hear, as a husband and father of three children, I know how important the opinion of the family can be – you are a father of four, husband, how does your family feel about your newest project?

Jan de Jong: My family is incredibly supportive of Tales of Mello. They see the potential it holds to positively impact the lives of children and families worldwide. It’s heartening to know that we’re working towards creating a platform that not only entertains but also nurtures creativity and learning. My children, in particular, are excited to be a part of this journey and are eager to see how it unfolds. Their enthusiasm fuels my determination to make Tales of Mello a meaningful and enriching experience for all.

Nevio: Looking ahead, where do you see the future of technology and entrepreneurship in Croatia, and how do you envision Daidream’s role in shaping that future?

Jan de Jong: Croatia has immense untapped potential in the technology sector. As the digital landscape continues to evolve, I see opportunities for Croatia to emerge as a hub of innovation and entrepreneurship. Daidream, with its forward-thinking approach and dedication to meaningful experiences, is well-positioned to be a catalyst in this transformation, setting new standards for educational entertainment not just in Croatia, but on a global scale.

Conclusion:

Jan de Jong’s story is one of vision, determination, and a genuine commitment to creating positive change. His support as the first investor in Daidream is a powerful endorsement of our mission to enrich the lives of children and families worldwide. We are grateful for Jan’s partnership and look forward to the journey ahead.
